What Buyers Want

After years of hosting open houses, I’ve seen what buyers want more than once.  Be it their first place or not, nearly all buyers are looking for open and light layouts, and rooms that allow you to converse and entertain, without feeling closed off or visually distanced from other activities.  That can be the simple things like seeing what’s happening in the backyard from the kitchen, or being able to glance at the front door through the Living and Dining Rooms.  Classic older homes like Ballard Bungalows have these features and often you will find updated & remodeled homes to be open and light.  When you walk into a property and things are where you expect them to be, the feeling is familiar, comfortable, and immediately reassuring.  Having the bedrooms in the back of the home where it is quieter, and a big front porch along the front where you can wave at friends and neighbors all makes sense in this growing city of ours.  If you’ve wondered how you might reappoint your home to get the right vibe or flow, let me know and I’ll see what magic I can bring over.  When you are able to immediately connect with buyers who have a overwhelming urge to buy your place, based on how they feel walking in the door, you know you’ve hit the jackpot.  For more information about real estate trends, visit my weekly blog at www.liztalley.com.
