Springtime Selling

ImageStoreF92RT759carolSpringtime is a great time to be selling your home in Seattle.  The inventory generally hasn’t caught up with the number of buyers out looking, as is the case this year, and things just seem positive as sunny days start to reappear.  The best advice I can give sellers looking to sell in the Springtime is to clear out the debris in the garden from the winter and add some color and life to the outdoor spaces that you enjoy.  This home, which my mom and I sold a couple of years ago in Ballard, was lovingly maintained by the previous owner and she really did an extraordinary job of bringing in colorful accents in the window boxes and adding just the right finishing touches.  Buyers responded with about 10 offers and the emotional appeal of this home was off the charts.  It sold for more than 10% off the list price.  My advice for Springtime Sellers is to hit the nurseries (my local favorite is Swanson’s Nursery), pick up some wonderful new plant materials, and make your garden as well as your home shine.
